Witch Hazel & Lemon A good astringent, with a refreshing scent Witch Hazel: Soothing & astringent. Reduces puffiness, medicinally used for bruises, swollen surfaces. Lemon: Antiseptic and anti-bacterial, oil of lemon acts as a water purifier. It will also prevent scurvy - but that's kind of irrelevant to this page - easier to buy a lemon at the fruit stand, than to eat all that soap!
